Estate & Trust Administration

image_pdfimage_print

As a trust and estate attorney, we assist clients throughout Southern Massachusetts and Cape Cod navigate the probate and trust administration process. We assist personal representatives (formerly executors) with their duties and trustees with performing their legal obligations.

“Probate” is the process whereby the Court supervises the transfer of assets from a deceased person to their heirs. Probate requires the filing of particular and complicated legal forms, and the entire process is supervised by the Probate Court in the county in which the decedent resided at the time of death.

The issues surrounding the Probate process can be difficult and time consuming. It is often better to speak with a Probate attorney who can guide you.

Whether Probate is required or not, there are various tasks that must be completed following a person’s death to ensure their property passes to their intended heirs, title to any real estate is clear, and any necessary taxes are paid.

To schedule an initial consultation contact Walecka Law, P.C. at 774-203-9003 or Brandon@WaleckaLaw.com.
